Software Overview

Check out this quick overview of the software!

What you do after you purchase your software subscription:

Login from our website There’s nothing to download or install.
(You can log in from any page on our site.)

Customize your information

Describe your Property Gives each page and printout a custom look.

Add Section Names How do you describe your different hunting areas?
It can be as simple as North Tract & South Tract or Big Food Plot, Clover Plot, Swamp etc. Do whatever works best for you or just set up N/A if you don’t want a section breakdown.

Add Hunter Names Use actual Hunter names or if you don’t want to (or need to) keep track by name you could use hunt types like Bow Hunters, Rifle Hunters, Camera 1, Camera 2 etc. You decide how you want to keep your information grouped.

Fill in your log or entry forms: Write down your information so someone can enter it into your account later or if you don’t want to write it down then just log into your account on deermanage.com and enter it. We all know what we shot so just take it one step further and enter that information into our software so you can monitor your deer harvests season by season.

Harvest Form: Write down your harvest information after you process your deer. If you don’t want to write it down then login to your deermanage.com account and just enter the information. If you don’t know how to age a jawbone then you can leave that information blank but I would recommend pulling the jawbone, mark the deer# on it and have someone age it for you later. Getting a feel for the age structure of your deer population is important. See the entry form for the advanced version of the software where you can track antler measurements near the bottom of this overview.

Sightings/Observation Form: Write down your sightings information at your convenience. If you don’t want to write it down then you can login to your deermanage.com account and just enter the information.

If you prefer to not keep track of your actual sightings but would like to keep track of your trail camera counts then you can do that instead. You can enter the counts by each camera and/or by week. (Whatever you prefer)

Enter the information from your logs/entry Forms:

Add Harvests When you go to enter your harvests all of your previous harvests will be displayed.

  Just click:  Add harvest

Hunter and Section names will appear as a list, just click to select. Fill in the rest from the entry form/log you filled out.

Add Sightings/Camera Counts When you go to enter your sightings or camera counts all of your previous sightings will be displayed.

  Just click:  Add Sighting

Hunter and Section names will appear as a list, just click to select. Fill in the rest from the entry form/log you filled out.

View or Print Harvest & Sightings Statistics

Sightings: You can select a specific season or multiple seasons.

Harvests: You can select a specific season or multiple seasons and indicate if you want the report or pie charts.

Sightings/Harvests by Year: 15 seasons and prior will be shown. This is great historical information.

The Advanced Version also allows:

  • Keeping track of individual bucks counted
  • Ability to key antler measurements
  • Print Antler Analysis by Age
  • Formula to Estimate your Deer Population and Harvest Estimates
  • Ability to export your harvest & sightings information from your deermanage.com account to a file on your computer so you can use your own customized spread sheets if desired.

Individual Bucks counted: Keep track of how many individual Bucks you identified in your camera survey.

Enter Antler Measurements: The advanced version allows you to enter the antler measurements that can be used in implementing an APR (antler point restriction). The antler measurements are not for calculating a Boone & Crockett score but for tracking the various antler characteristics by age group.

Buck Antler Analysis: Analyze your antler measurements on the Bucks that you have harvested. This is necessary if you are looking to implement an Antler Point Restriction. (APR) Select the season(s) and the antler characteristic that you wish to analyze.

Then enter the specific measurement you want to analyze.

If you are considering an APR then use this report to make sure that you won’t be inadvertently protecting older Bucks. The analysis at the bottom of the report will show you what percentage of 3 ½ year old and older Bucks fall below the measurement you specified. This report will also allow you to follow the various antler measurements by age group and will allow you to determine if there are any patterns to a specific antler characteristic as the Bucks gets older.

Population/Harvest Estimate: If you are able to estimate the number of resident Bucks on your property, your Doe to Buck ratio and your Fawn recruitment rate then you can estimate your deer population and harvest requirements. What’s nice is that you can specify how many Bucks you would like to have next summer as well as what Doe to Buck ratio you would like to have next summer and the Doe and Buck harvest estimate is adjusted accordingly.
